Individual lighting point management on the main coast road of Malta

Malta goes forward as leading country on public lighting redevelopment. December 2015 major project was completed on the coast road of the Mediterranean island.
Road section involved is located between Bahar Ic-Caghaq and Bugibba.

Intervention involved replacement of existing lighting fixtures with more efficient LED technology luminaires with implementation of remote control on switchboards.

All luminaires have been equipped with Opera range LPC modules of Revetec.
Within the switchboards communication gateways DIM, RAM, LPM/D gateway modules were installed along with GSM Modem for data and alarms management as well as power line carrier communication with each single lighting point in the field.

By programming time scenarios on LPM/D module, an extensive management of dimming has been performed dividing luminaires into several scenography groups. This makes it possible to control in a different way both luminaires located on the street and luminaires inside roundabouts.
