Development of a specific Android APP to manage the whole luminaires replacement process for the city of Rome.
As part of the activities to replace the whole existing luminaires with brand new LED luminaires for the entire city of Rome, Revetec, in agreement with ACEA Illuminazione Pubblica SpA, has conceived a new APP, under Android platform, to manage registry of replaced equipment.
The APP, adopted by technicians during replacement works, allows in a few simple operations: recording of replaced equipment through luminaire’s QR-code reading, detection of the luminaire’s GPS coordinates with possibility to associate them to a picture direct-shot of the new lighting point. All these operations are possible also off-line, without the presence on an internet connection. All input data are then transmitted to MaestroWeb software enabling monitoring of the state and progress of the works. Subsequently, all collected data are automatically imported in ACEA owned Maestro Software for the Management of both lighting points and luminaires.
Two important features are completing the APP: “luminaires OFF tracking” (activity carried out in the evening, to verify correct functioning of the luminaires) and “failure management”, or replacement of eventually defective luminaires already covered by warranty.
The Application has been conceived for a narrow integration within ACEA management EDP system (SAP).
