Safer lighting for the municipality of Ceggia
The municipality of Ceggia, north of the Metropolitan City of Venice, participated in the 'Smart City II' energy requalification project.
In particular, by installing a Revetec point-to-point remote control, it also made it possible to improve safety for its citizens. In fact, FAI adaptive management of street lighting has been adopted.
e-DIM devices for remote control of switchboard parameters, including a metering device (MID-certified), were installed in the switchboards. 5G-NBIoT connectivity makes parameter communication to Maestro's CMS (Central Management Service) fast and reliable.
More than 200 luminaires can be managed remotely thanks to the installation of radio frequency point-to-point nodes with standard Zhaga connection. Communication to the software, which enables constant diagnostics of the lighting points, is implemented via gateways installed in the field.
Thanks to the installation of the LTM sensor, the lighting will be adjusted according to luminance, road traffic and weather conditions measured in real time using an artificial vision algorithm. Overall, the system adopted by the municipality of Ceggia will promote significant energy savings while guaranteeing the road safety conditions dictated by standards.
