Lighting point manager for power line communication
LPM module, installed inside the control panel, allows communication through PLC with the lighting point modules (LPL, LPC). Reading and control times to the lighting point modules are programmable. LPM has an internal memory in order to store measurements for many days.
When LPL and LPC modules are installed, LPM manages as well scenarios. It can memorize up to 2 scenarios for each LPL and LPC module and automatically changes them twice per year according to seasons. It is possible as well to enable the “continuous polling” function: LPM calls continuously the modules, if there is a lamp switched off, or does not communicate it generates an alarm. Also, continuous polling allows real time achievement of the whole luminaires status.
LPM can command in real time four scenarios groups through the 2 digital inputs, which can be expanded up to 10 scenarios using a IOM external module.
Communication between LPM and server is protected, encrypted and guaranteed, with Revetec joining VPN.
Up to 10 scenarios can as well be created according to hourly cycles: LPM at the programmed time sends to the groups (up to 16) of LPC or LPL modules the new dimming level requested, and can change the configuration of 5 Outputs of the IOM module eventually connected.
LPM communicates with the Master through serial port RS422, and to a PC with RS232 of the Master.
LPM can receive a command from LPB and actuate a specific scenario.
LPM can receive dimming commands from SDLx control module via serial link, for LED tunnel entrance applications, from the DIM module through use of cycles typically reserved to power controllers, LPM module manages and regulates luminaires groups.
Besides, new features have been recently introduced to let the module operate as standalone in the electrical panel remote management, such as the introduction of an astronomical twilight clock remotely programmable along with alarms generation from digital inputs (output circuit intervention, door opening, etc.). This way it is possible to operate only through LPM module for both the control of the individual luminaire and – even if with some limits – the control cabinet.
Very important: Proper filters have to be installed, in order to isolate from network. All lamps have to be equipped with LPL, LPC or passive module. Serial number of LPL, LPC must be written on map.
