Module for monitoring and dimming a single lamp with power line
LPL01 IP00 permits to switch on/off remotely the luminaire, either by groups of lamps and for individual lighting points. Besides, reading of the measures from the control centre also permits to detect any possible failure very quickly, as well as to identify which lamps are decaying and to perform detailed analyses on the running status of the luminaires controlled. Output available: 1-10 Vdc or digital addressable lighting interface output to interface an electronic ballast or a LED driver. In this case 5 level of dimming can be controlled daily.
Communication is obtained by power line carrier among the LPM (compulsory in the panel) and the LPL nodes: these modules can be easily installed in retrofit plants as well, no additional cables are required. It is possible to enable an automatic daily cycle, made of on/off operations. Maximum 5 operations are allowed, at preset timing. As option it is as well possible to have a 1-10 Vdc not insulated output to drive a dimmable electronic ballast or a bi-power ballast; in this case the automatic cycle can be configured also as 5 step dimming cycle, therefore allowing scenarios management.
All LPL modules have the LPL/V software inside: LPL can therefore be programmed in such a way to follow input voltage variations. In this specific operational mode, output to control LED light is varied according to input voltage. This characteristic is very useful when LED are installed where a Power Controller is working on the same line. The Power Controller will be able to dim both the LEDs and the HID lamps eventually installed by varying the voltage of the plant. In this application, LPM is not necessary.
