International Day of Light 2023

The International Day of Light, instituted by UNESCO, has been celebrated every year since 16 May 2016 in memory of the first working laser, thanks to the 1960 discovery by physicist and engineer Theoder Maiman.

On this date this year, AIDI will promote a day full of educational events at the Palazzo degli Affari in Florence.

The event aims to raise awareness worldwide about the importance of light and lighting technologies. During the day, topics of interest and topicality will be explored through scenario presentations, a round table and a workshop.
